"We haven't seen our results since we graduated 17 months ago"- Umar Col.Edu Graduates

Students  graduated from Umar Suleiman College of Education Gashua, Yobe State have raised their voices over 17 months of delay in the issuance of statement of result.
Speaking to Daily Trust in Damaturu, the students said they graduated on August 12, 2016 but the college had failed to provide them the statement of results. One of the students who objected to being named ‘to avoid victimization,’ said majority of them wanted to get jobs or pursue further studies but could not do any such thing without their result.

Another student, Mamman Ari, said he had nursed a dream to complete his degree and participate in the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) while he still had the advantage of age. “They have jeophadized the ambitions of many people like me, especially those with chances to secure jobs,” Ari said. In his reaction, the Director of Degree programme in the college, Malam Ahmadu Aji, said the school authority finished and submitted the results to University of Maiduguri on time. “But we faced some hitches... So far, we have sorted the results of 10 out of 12 departments in the college.
Only Hausa and Islamic departments have problem with computation and soon it will be ready,” Aji said
