A 16-year-old secondary school student, Benita James has emerged the first teenager to occupy the office of a Vice Chancellor for one day in Nigeria.
James, who is a student of Heritage College in Uyo, was honoured with the VC's office at Ritman University in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom because she said that her ambition is to become a Vice-Chancellor.
According to the Nation (through Nation), the 16-year-old student, who is in SS3 had visited the university on a tour with students from a group of secondary schools in the state.
While interacting with the students, the President of Ritman University, Prof Celestine Ntuen was reported to have been impressed by James' ambition and decided to honour her to occupy the office for one day.

However, in a bid to make her play VC role, James was taken around the campus, visiting offices including Admission Office, Information Communication Technology (ICT) Centre, the Registry and Bursary departments.
She was also asked to sit on the official seat of a Principal Officer and signed some documents.
