A young lady identified as Udoh Akpabio and another young man have been arrested by officials of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for alleged examination malpractice in the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). .
Reports have it that Akpbio hid a phone for cheating in her underwear during the exam and her accomplice Andrew Etziuzala, was nabbed as well for helping Akpabio in the cheating process..
Both persons were caught on CCTV . FCT Commandant of the NSCDC, Patrick Ukpen, while parading the suspects said Andrew introduced Akpabio into cheating in her examinations.
He Andrew, a student of Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, was sending answers via text message to Akpabio while she sat in the hall for her exams.
Akpabio said she had written the JAMBexam 4 times without passing “My last score was 179,” she said.
Etziuala who was sending answers to her phone explained that the answers were generated by another member of the syndicate operating from a Business Centre in Jikwoyi.
He said the suspect at large, allegedly hacked into JAMB examination questions and generated answers which were forwarded to him (Etziuala), who in turn forward them to Akpabio in the examination hall.
