(1) Complete O'Level result : If you're an aspirant of UI and you're hoping to write POST UTME and gain admission, you must have a complete O'level result.  University of Ibadan allows combined results. Awaiting results can be used too if the result will meet the documentation period.

(2) 200 and Above in UTME (Jamb) : University of Ibadan only admit aspirant with 200 and above as jamb score. The 200 and above score is like a pass for you to be eligible the POST UTME form. With this year jamb cut off mark of 120 for university, University of Ibadan UTME cut off still remains 200.
So anything less than 200 in UTME. You're out.

(3) Post Utme : Last 3 years(2015/2016), admission was based on post utme alone, last two years(2016/2017), she(ui) used jamb and o'level which later resulted in poor performance of students, the chances of repeating that same process used in (2016/2017) are very slim in fact is equals to none . last year(2017/2018), she used jamb score and post utme score by dividing jamb score by 8 and post utme score by 2, then added it together to get aggregate score, there's a probability that she's (ui) gonna repeat the same process as used last year.  Now let me tell you what the POST UTME looks like.
University of Ibadan POST UTME is a 90 minutes duration Examination. It's NOT a computer based test.
You will be tested in the four subjects you offered in UTME(JAMB) with 25 question each on one making 100.
Therefore the POST UTME is 100% and consist 100 questions.
No calculator is allowed for the POST UTME. That is why you have to practice a lot without Calculator especially for science students.

(4) No POST UTME past questions : If anyone tells you to bring money for University of Ibadan POST UTME past questions. Its Scam. There is NO University of Ibadan POST UTME past questions. Reason is that Aspirants will not be allow to go home with the question paper after exam. So what can you use to practice? Answer is your UTME JAMB question pack.
The university started releasing what we call practice question for aspirant who register for the post UTME from 2015/16. This also help the students to know how the Examination we be like

(5) POST UTME cut off mark : After POST UTME exam, the school will release the results of aspirants and also the cut off marks of each course. The cut off mark varies every year and its determine by the amount of aspirants that put in for a course.

(6) Highly competitive and Less competitive courses : As an aspirants you should have information about the course you put in for. There are less competitive courses and highly competitive course. Aspirants know their capacity and should only go for courses that they have high chances of gaining admission.

(7) 50% pass mark in POST UTME : Another thing you should know is that UI will never admit aspirant with less than 50% pass mark. This means all cut off mark starts from 50. So when you score below 50% in POST UTME, forget about admission into UI that year. It happens if you didn't meet the cut off mark of the course you put in for, you may be given admission in one of those less competitive courses. for instance You put in for Mechanical engineering with a cut off mark of 60% but you scored 53%.
