Accreditation for OAU’s Law, Dentistry, 2 other courses withdrawn, candidates advised to change courses

Candidates who chose to study Law, Dentistry, Medical Rehabilitation and Botany at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination have been instructed  to change their course or either change their institution.

This instruction was given after the National Universities Commision suspended the approval processes of those courses l.

The message sent to the candidates by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board read: “Your first choice course did not receive accreditation. Login to your profile and change course/institutions.”

It was gathered that the accreditation of Faculty of Law at the OAU was earlier withdrawn in 2006.

It was also learnt that Botany never got full accreditation since its commencement at the OAU.
