Auchi Poly Students Attack And Beat Up Lecturer

It was reported that on Saturday, 29th September, 2018, a lecturer at the Department of Science Laboratory and Technology [SLT] of the School of Evening Studies, Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, was mobbed and beaten up by angry students of the Department.

According to an eye witness, the students were in a practical session with their Ecology lecturer when he gave an order for the students that were unseated to stay outside the lab before they can commence with the practicals, it was said that, as the students were going outside, the lecturer reportedly slammed the door against one Mrs. Dele Miracle who happened to be a pregnant woman. The eye witness also confirmed that the lecturer repeated the same act against another female student, who started bleeding following the injury it resulted to.

Following the heat of the moment, the students became angry and mobbed the lecturer and allegedly attacked him.

The lecturer later fled, while the victim was being rushed out to seek medical attention.
