7 Highest Paying Professions In Nigeria

It is everybody’s dream to have a very good Profession because a very good salary does no damage to anyone, that’s why most people have really left low paying profession for better ones, most people are now studying the hottest Courses in the World right now.

Well, time changes and so do the need of a particular Profession the higher the need the higher the pay. Although the employment rate in the country is very disappointing only the fortunate ones end up with the good Jobs.

I have made a little research in finding the highest paying professions in Nigeria, below are the highest paying Professions/Jobs in the Country:

1. Medical Practitioners

This profession has been one of the most appreciated in the World for a very long time. Healthcare is a very wide aspect of Profession not  because of the time spent in becoming a certified medical practitioner but because of it importance to every being.It has more than 100 different aspects and every aspects of it is respected in Nigeria. Surgeons, Nurses, Vet. Doctor, Oncologist, Dentist  e.t.c. are a few examples of medical Practioners.

2. Law 

Most Parents dream is that at least whenever their Child is considering a Profession he/she should smile to the thought of Law, this is because they know the stability that comes with jobs like this.

3. Petroleum engineers

Anyone who works offshore or onshore as an engineer for a petroleum company is sure to earn a huge salary. Virtually all of these companies are multinationals and they pay their Nigerian employees standard salaries.
Even though the price of oil in the global market has slumped, affecting a lot of multinational oil companies, but regardless petroleum engineers and oil workers are still well paid.
 There are some jobs that people do not bother asking what the minimum salary is because it would surpass their expectations and leave them either depressed or excited. This job is more or less the dream job of many Nigerians as they get to live well compared to the salaries being paid to people in other professions.

4. Entertainers

The Nigerian entertainment industry is fast becoming a multi-billion Naira industry that generates a lot of money on a regular basis, From Events to Movies to Music and lots more. The entertainment industry in Nigeria has now been termed by many as the easiest place to make cool money.

From movie Actresses and Actors to Comedians, Radio/TV hosts, Musicians, Producers, Directors, e.t.c  people in the entertainment industry are very well paid and in addition to the pay, they are also endowed with fame.

5. Athletes.

Athlete  are people who are good at a sport and competes in one or more. Although the number of available sports in Nigeria are few compared to other countries but Nigerians make good money from this profession either as a Footballer, Basketballer, Sprinter, Boxere.e.t.c.

6. Politicians

Politics in Nigeria is like swimming in money compared to other Countries because Nigerian Politicians are among the highest paid in the World. While they are serving the nation in the best way possible, they are highly paid individuals who take money in addition to what is given to them officially. This list would be incomplete without them lol.

7. ICT Professionals

ICT Professionals like Programmers, Developers, Website designers, Bloggers e.t.c are now taking a good spot in Nigeria because of the high demand.

For example, being a consultant for a multinational company is a high paying job any Nigerian would jump at.

Companies make use of trained individuals who are skilled in certain areas to help boost the performances of their companies. Consultants are well paid individuals who can afford the luxuries of a good life. They add value to the companies who employ their services by training their staff. With the world going into an era that supports technological advancement, the positions of ICT operatives in the society cannot be overlooked. Major companies need the expertise of these people in order to move their establishments forward.
