A University of Abuja staff school teacher, Solo Anuli Obiagwu, has gone on hunger strike to protest unpaid salary and he has reportedly relocated into the bush.
Obiagwu who is said to be protesting against “victimization of  teachers at the University of Abuja Secondary School'' he claimed the university is owing him 11 months salary.

He gave other reasons for going on hunger strike as, “impunity and insensitivity, emotional stabbing of teachers and students, silencing of unions'' are UNIABUJA management's attempt to cripple him.

The teacher who started his self-imposed hunger strike campaign on November 13 and ended November 17, he was seen in a bush with a placard stating the reason for his action.
He also refused to talk to people as he used a white handkerchief to gag himself.

Let it be recalled that UNIABUJA recently  lost accreditation of 14 out of 45 courses the school offers in 2016. Following the disaccreditation, the university's director of Centre for Distance Learning (CDL) Professor Siyan Peter has also been removed and replaced with Professor Odumuh Theresa.
