The Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has inaugurated it's maiden set of Students Union Executives, the event which held on 15 January 2017 at the University's main auditorium.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Soremekun who was present at the event tasked the new set of executives to work uprightly and he also gave his reassurance to the elected executives.
Although the institution hasn't had any Students Union Government in the past and this set of officials were elected on 29th of September 2017 after much fight and protest by the students for a Student Union.
In which the University's management created a Student Representative Council and promised a Student Union Government a year later which was last year.
