Caleb University Holds Its 11th Convocation Ceremony

There was an exciting atmosphere at Caleb University, Imota as the University conducted its 11th matriculation ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Pastor J.T Kalejaiye urged all the matriculant to spend less time on social media and focus more on their studies and must study hard in order to avoid academic problems.
“This is not the time to Facebook, it is the time to face your book; it is not the time to grow up but go up; keep off the bad company, do not join them, they are destructive.
“I never smoke or drank, all my life I read and to the glory of God, I came out well.
“You are at the right place, a University of the first choice and with hard work, what others are running after will run after you,” he said.
Pastor Kalejaiye, however, prayed for the fresh undergraduates while wishing them to become future leaders of the country and in their chosen professions.
The University's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ayandiji Aina who was also in attendance
assured the students of an uninterrupted academic calendar and timely graduation for its students.
Prof. Aina claimed that the graduation for the matriculating students had been tentatively fixed for Oct.15, 2021 for four-year degree programmes and Oct. 14, 2022, for five-year degree programmes.
He charged the freshmen to distinguish themselves from those who had no sense of direction and reposition themselves for excellence and moral composure.
“Caleb has zero tolerance for cultism and drug abuse, you are required to avoid plagues like alcoholism, indecent dressing, immoral behaviour and other vices capable of truncating your future goals and aspiration, ” he said.
More than 800 students were admitted for the 2017/2018 academic session at the university.
