EFCC Arrests Ekiti State University Student For Internet Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  Ibadan Zonal Office have reportedly arrested one Ilesanmi Babatunde Yemi for cyber crime.

Ilesanmi a 31 years old, Final year part-time accounting student of Ekiti State University was arrested for internet scamming by the EFCC.

Ilesanmi was said to have been posing as an American Army Officer by the name Dennis Martinez allegedly serving in Libya and would engage in internet love and romance to scam others. He engages unsuspecting ladies on the internet in a dating through which he dupes them of their money.
The EFCC reported that his last victims were Sandra Simundza and Lily, both who live in Australia, from whom he claimed to have obtained about Five hundred dollars.

Ilesanmi, according to the EFCC was living an expensive life without a legit source through which he bought a 2005 Lexus car.
Items recovered at his place were: one Apple MacBook Pro laptop, several love scam mails, three ATM cards,  one iPhone 6 x plus,  one Nokia phone and one international Passport.

He would be arraigned to court soon.
