The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has now sent in the Official Result Statistics for the 2018 UTME conducted between 9th – 17th March, 2018. This statistics includes the total number of results to be released, and the number of results being withheld for further investigations.
JAMB claimed to have viewed all CCTV footage in all centres nationwide. They combined all the information from the CCTV footage, with reports from supervisors, monitors and other independent Nigerians, to come up with the following statistics;
Total Number of 2018 UTME Candidates: 1,652,825
Number of Released Results: 1,502,978
Number of With-held Results: 112,331
Number of Results for Blind Candidates (Still With-held): 350
According to the JAMB Spokesman, Mr. Fabian Benjamin, the above numbers exclude the results for Foreign Candidates, who are expected to write their own exams in April.
