Meet UNIMAID First Female SUG President.

Since the establishment of the University of Maiduguri in 1975, no female student has been a lead in the institution's Students Union Government.

But history has been made by Zahirat Galleon, a student from the Faculty of Education in UNIMAID, who is the first female vice president of the institution. 

According to sources, Zahirat is said to be courageous and will surely use her position to discourage female marginalization. 

The new SUG EXCOs are to begin their various responsibilities in the forthcoming 2018/2019 session which is rumored to commence next month.
